At Kindling Impact Consulting, our mission is to help nonprofits move from survival mode to sustainable growth.

We do this by:

  • Filling fundraising and communications gaps that keep teams stuck

  • Building systems and workflows that support long-term development

  • Designing tailored strategies that fit each organization’s size, budget, and goals

The sector is changing fast. While the private sector leans into AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making, many nonprofits are still relying on spreadsheets, gut instinct, and sheer determination. We believe nonprofits deserve better tools — and the guidance to use them well.

Our consulting services are designed to help organizations:

  • Strengthen fundraising strategy and donor relationships

  • Clarify messaging and brand storytelling

  • Maximize CRMs and technology

  • Align events, campaigns, and communications with clear revenue and impact goals

Everything we do is about building capacity, not dependency. When our work together wraps, your team should feel more confident, more equipped, and more in control of your fundraising and communications.

Co-Founder Spotlight: Tatumn Zale, CFRE

Role: Co-Founder & Capacity Consultant

Tatumn Zale, CFRE is a nonprofit fundraising strategist who cares deeply about building donor relationships that last. In her role as Assistant Director of Development at AllThrive 365, she leads annual giving, corporate partnerships, and major gifts with a strong focus on stewardship and retention.

Tatumn’s leadership extends across the fundraising community. She serves on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Phoenix Chapter and has held roles including National Philanthropy Day Chair, Sponsorships Chair, and Arizona State Conference Chair.

Her work has been recognized nationally and locally, including:

  • 2026 AFP National Emerging Leader

  • 2023 AFP Greater Phoenix Emerging Fundraiser of the Year

  • 2023 YNPN Phoenix LINK Pitch Competition Champion

Tatumn co-founded Kindling Impact because she believes small and mid-sized nonprofits deserve access to the same level of fundraising strategy and support as large institutions — without the prohibitive cost. Her goal is to help organizations build realistic, relationship-centered development plans that actually work with the staff and resources they have.

Elena also serves as:

  • Director of Communications on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Public Health Association

  • Education Committee Member with Arizona LeadingAge

  • Chair of the Arizona Health Equity Conference

She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona, with certificates in Nonprofit Leadership and Nonprofit Marketing, and is a graduate of Valley Leadership Catalyze Class 4. In 2023, she received the Exceptional New Alumni Award from Adams State University for her commitment to driving social change through communications.

Elena co-founded Kindling Impact to help nonprofits tell clearer, more compelling stories — and to ensure that organizations doing critical community work have communications strategies that match the depth and importance of their missions.
