Arizona Nonprofit Professional Earns Global Recognition for Fundraising Excellence

Tatumn Zale Awarded 2026 Outstanding Young Professional Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals 

Tatumn Zale, CFRE, Assistant Director of Development at AllThrive 365, has been named a 2026 Outstanding Young Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) — one of the most prestigious recognitions in the global philanthropic community. 

AFP's Outstanding Young Professional Award honors emerging fundraisers under the age of 31 who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the profession, a record of impact, and a dedication to advancing philanthropy's role in strengthening communities. Zale was selected to receive this honor from AFP's international network of more than 28,000 members. 

Zale joined AllThrive 365 as the organization embarked on a transformational rebrand, bringing fresh energy and fundraising strategy to a 50-year-old institution. In her role as Assistant Director of Development, she leads donor engagement and development initiatives that directly fuel the organization's programs across housing, health, and connection for Arizonans of all ages.

In 2023, Zale was named AFP Greater Phoenix Emerging Fundraiser of the Year and has been recognized for her commitment to mentoring the next generation of nonprofit professionals. She serves on the AFP Greater Phoenix Board of Directors and co-founded Kindling Impact, a consulting practice focused on capacity building for mission-driven organizations. 

The recognition comes as Arizona's nonprofit sector is drawing national attention for its economic scale and professional depth. Research from ASU's Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation identifies the state's nonprofit sector as the sixth-largest industry in Arizona by economic impact, employing more than 222,000 people and generating $58.2 billion in annual income. 

"Fundraising is about far more than raising dollars—it’s about building trust, stewarding resources with integrity, and ensuring organizations have the stability they need to serve communities over the long term,” said Zale. “I’m hopeful about the future of this profession because I see how collaboration, mentorship, and ethical leadership strengthen not only nonprofits, but Arizona’s economy and the people who depend on it every day.” 

Zale earned dual degrees from the University of Arizona in Political Science and Musical Theatre, with minors in Government and Public Policy and Comparative Arts. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), an internationally recognized, voluntary credential that supports a fundraiser's professional growth and commitment to the philanthropic sector.  

Zale will be recognized at AFP's International Fundraising Conference, ICON, in San Diego, California on April 26^th of 2026.
